Education Excellence - Empowering India Awards 2024

Success of a nation depends on the education of its people. School education is perhaps the most important basic element of the education system as it lays strong foundation for further learning. The need for quality education with a value system leading to productive employment and hence comprehensive qualitative development of the nation is very crucial. Moreover, high quality education enables us to lead a successful life, enhances our intelligence, skills, knowledge, and brings positive changes.

Also there is a need for quality benchmarks for schools and standards to be developed in consultation with academicians, parents, administrators and quality professionals. The standard focuses on establishing systems to enable learning, self development and improved performance. It encourages schools to pursue continual excellence.

Objective

The objective of the award scheme is to recognise the schools for their sincere efforts in providing high-quality and excellent education and developing an appropriate learning system that caters to the psychological, emotional and cognitive needs of the students.

The award scheme is a salute to the schools who has created a new breakthrough in the world of education, adopted a holistic approach, imparting knowledge in the most innovative ways using different strategies and technology, keep experimenting with new ideas & strategies and improvise methods of education, aspire for new goals every time and make their utmost efforts to keep their students at par or ahead of their times.

Mechanism

The award scheme endeavors to recognize excellence in Indian School Education by executing a very standardized and rigorous methodology. Applications from schools would be sought in response to a questionnaire based on quantitative and qualitative aspects of their education system. Applications received would be evaluated by an independent panel of experts. Review of this evaluation and decision on final awards would be made by the constituted Jury Panel.

Expert Committee will select the top 3 nominees in each state.

These 3 top nominees will be called for presentation in front of JURY.

The JURY will select one winner in each state

The decision of the jury will be final in all respects.

Those applicants who qualify for the Jury Round will receive 'CERTIFICATE OF MERIT' from the Chairperson of the Jury Committee.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria are based on the objectives of the award scheme. It is a qualifications-based award scheme open to the schools who meet the below eligibility criteria. First five entries from a state in a particular category will be eligible for competition & only these nominations will be considered for evaluation.

The school should be a Private School (Unaided) / Private School (Government Aided) / Minority School.

The nomination form needs to be submitted by the principal or authorized representative.

Relevant documents need to be attached. Specific backup information may be of verifiable nature (documented records photos, video footage etc.) as relevant to the query. Schools can submit their application in the prescribed ‘Application Proforma’ online.

Nomination fee should be paid along with application. Nomination fee is non-refundable.

Selection Parameters

The selection parameters have been designed to select the best schools in the state/ country who have earned their title by providing high-quality education.

Whether school governance, processes, teaching / learning process are standardize & structured as per national / international standards.

Whether the school has national/ International recognition for quality standards.

Whether the school provide holistic / balanced education that helps students for personality development?

Whether the school has a quality culture, efficient and improved work environment, scientific and systematic approach towards teaching, continuous learning and training for staff?

Whether performance measurement and evaluation methods are defined, regular feedback on performance through internal and external assessments is practiced & third party assessment & evaluation of teachers are performed?

Whether the school provide organized and transparent school system for better day to day experience for students and parents & collaborates with parents for ensuring accountability for effective learning.

Whether the school has feedback system to address students and parents issues.

Award Category

Awards will be presented in 2-Categories (1. Private School (Unaided) 2. Minority School / Government Aided Private School) State - Wise. In the Special Award Category awards will be given to the top 3 participants (First - Second - Third) in the country.

Conference - Cum - Award Ceremony

The 'Winners' of the Award Scheme will be presented trophies by the Chief Guest - Hon'ble Education Minister, Govt. of India in a grand award ceremony to be held at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi in the month of Nov'24.

During the award ceremony a conference will also be organised. The objective of the conference is to Motivate educators, schools, and policymakers to upgrade the quality of school education towards the skill-fulness and mindfulness of children to overcome challenges in modern society for the sustainability of individuals, countries and global society by creating and disseminating new knowledge, skills, attitudes, and mindsets and sharing best practices and research findings.The conference will be focused on new trends in education, Quality School Governance in the Country, delivery of the holistic education program for overall development of students, assessments and evaluation methods, new approaches in school management and capacity building for teachers and professionals in education.

Keynote speakers will share their best practices, research findings, and new knowledge on different kinds of themes related to quality education.

  • Pay the nomination fee online or through NEFT. Nomination fee includes the delegation fee of 2 delegates for attending the Conference Cum Award Ceremony.
